i just read the five people you meet in heaven by mitch albom. the story was transcendent... went beyond man's imagination. i cried, and smiled and cried again. i have always believed in heaven and i know i'm going there. this book just gave me more to think about... like why wait to be in heaven to meet the five people who will give you your life lessons? i mean, we meet people everyday. human interaction is inevitable (unless you are a hermit). whether we like it or not, the people we meet changes our lives one way or another... relevantly or irrelevantly. our life story is somehow always connected to their life story just because you met. it may not have a very significant meaning but the point is, your lives and stories have crossed. you may categorize the people you meet if you want to and place them in boxes as to what role they play in your life. then you can sort out the boxes as to imporant, not-so-important, not-important-at-all but there will never be a non-existent category because the fact of the matter is, you both existed. you may, however pretend that the other doesn't exist, and well, that's a different story. we have to be aware each and everyday of the roles people play in our lives. it may change widely how we view life. i believe that everyone has a story to teach, and everyone has a lesson learn. we just have to be aware of the wonders life offers us. we have to look closely at people, events, places and things and in the end, we find out how great life is. we don't need to get to heaven to meet the five people who will give us five life lessons... just look at the people around you right here, right now and figure out what you can learn from them. when you die, these life lessons taught by the five people you meet will only make you undersand what happend on earth... but if you take these lessons while you are still living, then you have the opportunity to use these lessons and have a better live, have better relationships and teach others as well. then maybe, just maybe, when you get to heaven and finally face our creator, He will say "well done my child, well done." that's all i want to hear anyways.
