Day 4 was homeward bound but not until we reach the farthest point in our trip. We still had two destinations: The Blue Lagoon and Patapat Viaduct.
We first had breakfast at the hotel (not included in package). I ordered danggit with fried rice and egg. It was (as usual) yummy. We've never really been disappointed with food this whole trip.
We then prepared to go to the Blue Lagoon. Now my dad told me that it's just further north from Saud Beach so we just followed that trail. We also asked around and was pointed to the same directions. 30 mins later, we saw signs for blue lagoon so we parked and dipped for a few minutes (only to find out later that you need to take a boat to get to the actual blue lagoon). The beach we stopped at also had blue water so that was good enough.
We then went to the Patapat Viaduct, an elevated concrete highway along the northernmost roadway section of Luzon. We took pictures there and also noted and reset our gauge again. After that, it was really homeward bound already.
We reached Paoay around lunch time so we decided to eat at Herencia Cafe, famous for their pinakbet and dinuguan pizza. I never thought I would say this about those two dishes but it was AWESOME!!
On the way home, we passed by Vigan market to buy pasalubong. We got bagnet, longganisa and cornicks. We also bought some stuff along the highway like salt and vinegar. Our car was packed and it kinda smelled bad.. haha!
We reached La Union at around 9:00pm and decided to have dinner at McDonald's. We were also following Mendoza's hostage taking on the radio. That was terrible. But nothing beats our experience upon entring SCTEX when our gas light turned on. TanjoL, Yan and I couldn't breath! (Ola and Chloe were asleep) We knew the car had a reserve tank but we didn't think we would be able to test its limits on that day. Well, we made it to the gas station at NLEX and the rest is history.

*Dad picked me up from Yellow Cab in Better Living (we got there at 3am) coz the doctors were heading to Dasma and to PRC the next day.
