Strangers Who Make a Difference

Had dinner tonight at Buffalo's Wings N' Things at Solaris 1 Bldg. and as usual I had an awesome time. More than the kick ass buffalo wings, dirty rice and cheesecake ice cream, I keep coming back because of the awesome customer service. I regret not writing about my first time experience, when I randomly stopped at their BF Homes branch. Oh well, guess I'll do it now...

NY Classic Wings with Dirty Rice
As I said, I randomly stopped at their resto in BF when Dyann and I were looking for a place to eat after having a bad experience at BIR. Kathy (or maybe it's Kat..) the manager, greeted us with a grin. She seemed sincerely happy to see us. As soon as we asked about their special, she went ahead with her suggestions. She knew the menu by heart and did a great job setting our expectations. She even gave us free nachos for being first timers. It was a simple gesture yet it made us really feel that we came to the right place. And of course the food was amazing. We love buffalo wings and always go to the other buffalo wing place (on the same street...) but Kathy said that after we taste their wings, we will have a new favorite. And she hit that one spot on. I never went back to the other wing place and took several other visits to the BF Homes branch.

So we get to my experience tonight. My friend Jael and I were actually on our way to Army Navy when we saw Buffalo's Wings N' Things in the same building. I literally shrieked with delight (which, believe me, I rarely do) when I saw the familiar sign and it was settled -- we're having chicken tonight. Sharlyn warmly greeted us and it was the same happy service encounter all over again. I was actually amazed at how they treat their customers. It was overwhelmingly sweet of them to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. I know that it's part of their job to go through all this trouble but the best thing about them (both Kathy and Sharlyn) is that they genuinely look like they are enjoying what they're doing. And Buffalo's Wings N' Things consistently gives me the same feeling when I visit their stores. It's not just about the food anymore but the overall experience that makes me come back. And I know that's what sets them apart from the other wings. (and the free ice cream we got tonight -- thank you Sharlyn).
The super yummy cheesecake ice cream

Kudos to the management and especially the owner of Buffalo's Wings N' Things. I just found out that it is owned by Prime Hospitality Management Holdings. Thank you for living up to that name :)
