So the past few days I've been staying up late and coming tO work early because of my events. Yesterday was the best time to use my available half day leave so I can sleep in. No meetings, no events, no responsibilities in the morning.
So I took it and was freaking excited for it. It was also raining so it was the perfect weather to stay in bed.
Or not.
I got a phone call (and an adamant caller at that) at 6:30am. I rejected the call 3 times and he had the nerve to call again. Thinking it was important I took it, groggy voice and all. The call wasn't important at all. And he had the decency to ask if I was sleeping. I had to stop myself from saying no, I'm skydiving.
I tried to get back to sleep but I had another caller. My dad went to work without his glasses and he needed me to drop them off on my way to work and he needed it early coz he'll be out as soon as he gets it. The earlier the better.
So much for my much awaited sleep.
And so I went through the hullabaloo of my work day, looking forward to when I finally go home to my bed and get my sleep. All day I kept day dreaming about sleeping. Coffee didn't help at all.
My last activity for the day was a dinner get together for Con's birthday. I pegged it to end at 9pm and after that I can crawl under the sheets and sleep.
Nope.
We got stranded because of the heavy rains and traffic jam. And I got home at 3 in the morning.
I wonder what's it take for me to get a decent sleep.
Sigh.
